What if our religion was each other,if our practice was our life, if prayer our words?
What if the temple was the earth, if forests were our church, if holy waters-the rivers, lakes, and oceans.
What if meditation was our relationships, if the teacher was life, if wisdom was self-knowledge,
if love was the center of our being?

Our Deepest Fear
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn’t serve the world.
There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We were born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It’s not just in some of us; IT’S IN EVERYONE!
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others
-Marianne Williamson
“The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but
shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more,
but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and
smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees
but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more
problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little,
drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too
little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our
possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and
hate too often.
We’ve learned how to make a living, but not a life. We’ve added years to
life not life to years. We’ve been all the way to the moon and back, but
have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer
space but not inner space. We’ve done larger things, but not better things.
We’ve cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We’ve conquered the atom,
but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but
accomplish less. We’ve learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more
computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we
communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small
character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but
broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway
morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything
from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the
showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can
bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share
this insight, or to just hit delete…
Remember, to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not
going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks
up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave
your side.
Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the
only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a cent.
Remember, to say, “I love you” to your partner and your loved ones, but most
of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from
deep inside of you.
Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person might
not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to
share the precious thoughts in your mind.”
Now to take it to the next level..to make your walk/run a prayer ….of Gratitude. This can be such a powerful tool in bringing the spiritual into the physical. As you take each step onto this beautiful Mother Earth, say to your self or out loud everything that you are Grateful for in your life. From your family, your home, your dog, your friends …too your creativity, your huge heart, your feet, down to your toes.
And if you find that you have run out of things to be grateful for ( hard to imagine) you can then send the energy out the the trees, the plants, the sky, and the world. Imagining an energy field of Gratitude flowing out to the world. The energy you put out to the world will be felt and it will come back to you .
What are you Grateful for in your life? Who are you Grateful for in your life? And if you feel inclined ..let me know here on the site or Email me at [email protected] . I’d like to hear from you!
Live each day like a prayer and be thankful for all that
you have..
“The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice…it is a positive attitude we consciously choose to express. It is not a gift that gets delivered to our doorstep each morning, nor does it come through the window. And I am certain that our circumstances are not the things that made us joyful. If we wait for them to get just right , we will never find lasting joy.
The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey.
Our minds are like programs, awaiting for the code that will
determine behavior; like banks vaults awaiting our deposits.
If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin
to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thought as it germinates….you will find
there is so much to rejoice about!”
What happens when we ignore a part of ourselves? When we ignore a dream, a passion, or even just a feeling from inside us we disconnect from our true essence. This can be very toxic to our soul and physical body.
When we don’t listen to our inner needs we end up pushing our feeling down by using things such as alcohol, food, ect., anything that will numb the original want that we are ignoring. Holding this in our body can cause a great amount of disease to our physical body and our soul.
What if we didn’t hide our deepest desires?
What if we expressed our true feelings?
What if we embraced all parts of ourselves, even the not so pretty parts?
What part of you, are you ignoring?
Give it a voice…and have a conversation with yourself!
What are the largest obstacles preventing you from realizing your dreams?
I want to share with you all one of my favorite definitions of what Life Coaching is about. This definition comes from the book Co-Active Coaching the second edition, and is associated with the school CTI The Coaches Training Institute. Here we go…
“In our view coaching is not about solving problems, although problems will be solved. It is not primarily about improving performance, attaining goals, or achieving results, although all of that will certainly happen an effective coaching relationship. We believe that coaching is chiefly about discovery, awareness, and choice. It is a way of effectively empowering people to find their own answers, encouraging and supporting them on the path as they continue to make important choices.
“Coaching is a form of conversation with unspoken ground rules regarding certain qualities that must be present: respect, openness, compassion, empathy, and a rigorous commitment to speaking the truth.
” In our view, coaching is a way of being in relationship and being in conversation that might be unique in human history.
” A coach is someone who cares that people create what they say they want, that they follow through when they choose. The coach is there to hold people accountable and keep them moving forward toward their dreams and goals.”
And in my own words, I believe that coaching is about….spaciousness, openness, fluidity, expansion, envisioning dreams and putting wings to those dreams…
The Coach is just a spring board for the client to soar higher and higher from one goal to the next.. Coaching is about empowerment, inspiration, accountability, faith, intuition, courage, and joy.
Blessings,
